Default Exhaust Shootout

Anyone have actual experience wit comparing any exhausts? I hear RWR is the king for power but has anyone tried it vs any other big names like Big Gun, Trinity, CT, etc? I even emailed Dirt Wheels asking for a DS pipe shootout so we'll see if they do it, since the DS's r so popular now more than ever i think it'd be a good idea.

Its possible, but doubtfull that someone has "actual experience" with all of those pipes. There is so much to consider besides one thing; whatever that thing is. Since I ride in the dunes, what important for me may not always be important for someone else. I think your suggestion of a shoot out is good, but I would like to see the shoot out catagorized by the application.

I would like to see them catagorized accordingly...

1) Best Drag Pipe - all horsepower (no spark arrestor) and no noise restrictions.
2) Best Trail riding pipe (most low end torque) with a spark arrestor.
3) Best Dune Pipe - Most HP at a set DB Level (like 93-98db) with spark arrestor.

I would also like to see what each of these pipes are made of, and how the fit and finish is, and the retail price.

True, thats a big diff to a lot of ppl, the spark arrestor and db level. I have no concern wit spark arrestors and i like a loud pipe, my main question is torque and HP numbers the pipes put out. Every one u read about says "this pipe gives u a +10 HP" lol, yea right. But im sure theres someone out there thats had more than 1 pipe and could chime in wit a comparison

I did see a dyno comparison between Sparks and Ron Wood Racing. I dont know who did the dyno, but I do have a copy of the the chart. I dont know of any other direct comparisons on the same dyno with other aftermarket pipes. But, again, in my humble opinion, a true shootout wouldn't actually apply to simple dyno numbers alone; There are a lot more factors that are just as important for most of the riders out there (DB Levels, Spark Arrestor, fit and finish). I've never felt there is one pipe design thats the best for everyone. Certainly, even what I consider bad (worse than stock HP numbers) other people dont and actually wiegh other factors as more important.

An HMF slip-on would be a good choice. It comes with a spark arrestor and a quiet core for a few more dollars.
Do a search on HMF.

lets see i have run
1. rwr open no spark arrestor (hung to low would scrape the ground when doing wheelies, good power)
2. mbrp open and w/spark arrestor (nice fit, finsih, made good low and mid power no top end power)
3.graydon open and w/ arrestor (best so far, fits tite, make good power every where, running it on my 760 and my stockish stage 1 good choice) sure would like to try a set of loonie tunes duals, sounds like they might be the best.
