I got a set of Elka's and they are great. They valved them for MX and they were way to stiff, but I sent them back and had them revalved for trail riding and they work awesome. It is a big performance difference then the stock shocks.

I have personally used Axis shocks on a DS 650; Elka shocks on two different DS 650s, Works shocks on a Raptor, and Ohlins shocks on both a DS 650 and a V-Force. No doubt about it, the Ohlins shocks were the clear winners, and outperformed all the rest in any characteristic you care to compare them in.

I am still running the stock shocks on this DS 650, but will either be swapping to Ohlins or King Racing shocks next spring when I get my tax returns back. I think a set of those 16" travel King Racing shocks would be pretty tough to beat.

The best shocks are the ones YOU have enough cash to spend on !

I could only pony up for the Works and they suit me just fine ... I dont make a living at MX or Desert or GNCC racing so Spending the BIG bucks for the Best of the best of the best just isnt going to happen ! You would be surprised at what a good set of Works shocks set up properly will do for your ridding. Spending 1500.00 on a set of shocks all around isint going to qualify you to hit the doubles & triples at the MX track or make ya win at the sand drags or Strike the fear in the heart of the competition, but they will DEFINITELY help you to be a better rider and a more confident rider. Oh yea and better shock WILL save your Azz sometimes they tend to be more forgiving if you get out of controll!!

Now if I had 1500.00 to spend for the big dogs .... Ill be standing right behind you with cash in hand..... After-all why eat Crawdads when you can have Lobster? Right ?
