WARNING! to all 2005 DS 650 owners
2005 DS 650 and DS 650 X seats are poping out of the tracks that hold it in place under the gas tank. Over time this causes the rear seat latch to ware out and release the seat well the ATV is being driving causing risk off possible injury or death. This is not a service bulleten or a warrenty recall yet but it might be soon.

WARNING! to all 2005 DS 650 owners
Seat attachment hardware is the same for 2005 DS 650s as it has been for prior years. If this is your first DS 650 I would recommend just taking a little extra time making sure the seat is positioned correctly before the rear latch is fastened, and you wont have any problems. Enjoy that new DS

WARNING! to all 2005 DS 650 owners
I have a 2001 and a 2003 DS650 and neither one has -ever- had the seat pop out, even under extreme conditions. I have heard of it happening to one guy I know with a 2002, however I think the situation may be wear related or if the tabs on the frame are incorrectly bent that could cause this as well.

WARNING! to all 2005 DS 650 owners
Ya, it is my first post, but this is no bull. Ya, the 2005 and 2004 are exatly alike and even 2000-2003 had the same seat system. Around here it was only 2005 year modles, the 2004 years did not even pop out at all, well the 2005 would pop out every minute. All the ones that did it around here were the in the first 500 built in valcourt. One of my buddies rolled his DS because of this, he snapped the grab bar right off bent the handle bars and messed up his handguards because off loss of control when the seat became detached form his new ATV. Luckly he just fell off to the side and did not get hurt, but his ATV was in three pieces. I was going a post this in my usual forum but there is only a few DS 650 owners there, there is a lot more here.

WARNING! to all 2005 DS 650 owners
I have a 2000 and I have never see the seat "pop out of its tracks" - However, I have seen lots of seats fall down off of thier mounts. I'm not talking about the two metal tracks where the two padded nose pieces slide into the frame. I'm talking about where the black underside plastic butts on top of the frame. Those do tend to slide off. Perhaps this is the same issue?

WARNING! to all 2005 DS 650 owners
2002 Baja, my seat tabs tore off completely and had a repair done at a shop. I also contated Bombardier and the responce was they never heard of such an issue and denied a request for a new seat. Now its not intirely impossible to missaline the seat in the tracks when installing seat. I've been guilty of this to. Ridding with these tabs crushing against the rails would eventually break them suckers off.
