I'm getting some backfire thru my carb, so I'd like to mess with the air/fuel screw... is it the recessed screw directly under the front of the carb, or the screw under the float bowl?

recessed under the front. the one on the bowl, is just a drain screw.

 

Wow...odd placement..too bad it's not directly under the jet, like on Honda's.
