I don't have any decent scale to weigh my STU Sand Skate Is (V shaped 8 paddle tire) that are comp cut but they are VERY light. I can hold one rim/tire combo with one finger, not sure if I tried it with my pinky or not, but certainly my index finger. I work on computers for a living not lifting weights so I'm not built like the governer.
That said, I've never had a flat, and they are mounted on .125 rims and I've only got one dent in the rim. I've certainly been careful when riding them but just using common sense and I've not had a single problem with them.
I plan to move over to 9 Paddle Padla Brats or the 18 Paddle Stagger cuts at some point but I'm also interested in knowing the difference of those two. I know my current tires are getting pretty worn and have too little traction but when I get new tires I'd like to not get too much traction. If I see a good deal on some Skat Traks on eBay I may end up with some of those also.
