LOL Kawasaki kid, i beat a ds on my 440 and neither of us who raced are anywhere near 300lbs. we were in the sand at sand mountain in fallon nevada.it was very close. a very large percentage of who wins a race is the rider, its just hard to believe that you were the best rider out of all the people that day. hope to see the video soon!

Kawasaki kid I am sorry to say but i find it impossible to blieve your story. I ride quite frequently at silver lake on a stock 89 lt500r {never been rebuilt but needs to, compression is getting to low}i have raced more ds650's on that strip there than i care to remember and have NEVER lost. However i have gotten spanked by heavily modified banshee's like the 420 u r describing. By the way last saturday there was a raptor out at silver lake and the 500 didn't let me down. However i will admit to it not being completely fair do to the fact he was running on those stock tires and not paddles

This guy is a lier, I have a 400ex tricked out a little and we raced five times,I won 3 of the 5 races. And there was two things faster, a 250r three wheeler and a 250r bike that was worked pretty good. And the day before there were five banshees running alcohol that were moving pretty good. And by the way, there is plenty of room around my campfire if you want to amuse us with your story.

I was going to submit video using my friends' video capture card. However the compression is horrible, with low res and no sound a 15 second clip turns out to be near 5 megs. I'm purchasing a capture device myself this weekend. Not to mention I've got 2 weeks worth of work to catch up on. Sorry for the delay.

What format are you using? mpeg-1 is probably still the best choice. Good compression and pretty much everyone will be able to view a .mpg

Yeap, the new capture device supports Mpeg format, whereas my friends' only supported AVI. I plan on getting them ripped this weekend and up by Sunday.

Come on guys..... I even find it hard to believe ...you mean to tell me that a DS stock can take a modified banshee. Uhhhhhh ..I kind of find this hard to believe unless it's because of wheel spin and traction. Heck I don't even ride a banshee. I ride an R and proud of her! But who cares about drag racing what I really want to see at the dunes which is the most impressive to me is a 2 stroke hitting the powerband just as the a$$end slides around at the top of the dune and watching the resulted 20+ foot spray of sand in the air..... wow! now thats impressive!!

Sorry but my 400ex couldn't do that either thats why I sold it and got my R......Woo Hoo!!

Just an FYI, I've got nearly 30 megs of mpeg movies ripped from my trip. I should have them up in the next few days.

The big difference between a banshee and a ds (or raptor) is torque. On a shee, if you miss the powerband just for 500rev, you're done, on a big 4 stroke, there's a lot of margin.
I shoud have bought a 4 stroke instead of my banshee...maybe not...
