My apologies if my comments offended anyone. With my state of the art fuzzy screen, the piston looks beat up on the upper side, hense my saying it looks beat up not it is beat up. And I was just ripped by the guys selling the xenon headlights. They claim they are for a 04 baja, and when i paid for and recieved mine they were not even close to fitting. This is why I asked if there are any marks you can tell by if it is a true 11.5-1 piston. Some people just can't be trusted, and I have a hard time believing some. I'm just trying not to be ripped off.

Once again my apologies if anyone took offense.

THANKS FOR THE APOLOGIE. THAT TAKES A LOT. I TOO HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF AND TRY AND PRIDE MYSELF ON BEING HONEST WITH PEOPLE UP FRONT. YOU CAN TELL ITS A 11.5 TO PISTON BY THE DOME THAT RUNS THROUGH THE CENTER OF THE PISTON. THE STOCK PISTON IS FLAT.

Not a problem. I was aware of the stock piston being flat.....well mine isn't really it has chips and gouges in it...lol
I was thinking it could be quite possible that maybe another company's version of the say 9-1 comp may be shaped differently.
Oh well, mistakes happen, and unfortunately there just aren't enough honest people out there.
I also purchased an axle and swingarm assembly...actually the complete rear end, paid him/her the 186.00 and haven't heard a word or recieved anything yet.

Is there anything I can do to make this right? maybe find out the address and someone near by can pay a visit? or is there something I can do through Ebay?
Thanks

Default need a piston...help!

Well I got the piston finally and installed it tonight with a buddy....Started right up and ran first time! I am pumped...worried about the cam timing but it went like clockwork.....Piston was in very good shape..the discoloration wiped right off pretty much...the skirts werent even scored any. I am very pleased with the results but i wish i could of found a higher dome than 11.5 but its all good, atleast I am riding again. Thanx for all the help guys, without this forum guys like me would be in the dark....Justin

There was someone on here with a 12.5-1. If you do find a different piston, I'm still looking for a 11.5-1. Send it on my way. Thanks

Big Chief did you go from stock comp to the 11.5. If so did you notice a power gain. Just wondering because I recently purchased a 12 to 1 piston and was wondering what I could expect?

Well I went from stock piston that was messed up pretty bad and I also advanced the timing and put a direct mount k&n filter on all at the same time. I put a couple or three more bike lengths on a friends 450r so Id say it runs better but I kinda wish I went with the 12.5 or 13.5. A friend has the 12.5 and cams and under bucket shim setup with the bigger carb and it rips. I am happy just beating up on modded 450s ( full pipe, filter, jetted, and geared) especially since they are all litlle guys and I am a full grown 260Lbs...haha

I here ya it is nice to put a wuppin on those 450's, tho in my case they beat me more than I them Thats what had me curious about what to expect. And ya I think you will be hard pressed to find a small DS rider, Im a very petite 270lbs. myself.
