Web also publishes thier cam specs - so does Ron Wood Racing. I think its a good thing to know what you are buying. JMHO

I've asked him about the specs on the phone, of course he wouldn't tell me, but he did tell me that the intake and exhaust were the same lift and duration on all his grinds (99.9% sure). Remember that the exhaust valves are already much smaller than the intake valves.

shmee,
If you need a specific grind just let me know what lift, duration, and lobe center. At this point all my cams are custom grind according to engine mods, rider weight, and riding preference. You could find a set of my cams and have them checked but they might make turd power for your setup. Cams are the "brain" of the engine and MANY factors go into deciding which cam works best per application.
For instance: If your running LTE pipes I would start with some standard HR3 cams and reduce intake duration to gain back the midrange torque that the pipes give up. LTE's gain alot of top end but loose too much in the middle, cutting the intake duration picks up the middle alot and looses only a slight amount of over rev which gives a more responsive engine and gives the best of both worlds when it comes to having power all through the rpm range.

Buying cams because you think the numbers look good is not a wise decision. You better find someone with your combo that is very happy with their cams and buy what they are running. Or find a shop that is testing cams on the dyno and in real world application and get what they recommend.

Shmee,

Buying cams and knowing the specifications is a good idea if you also get the application right. The reason for that is if you make changes, nobody will have you by the ***** down the road. In my humble opinion, totally trusting someone with your complete engine build, without understanding the components is a lot like handing them your wallet and saying, "buy this for me". You know its true what they say about absolute power - As always, I totally believe in giving the customer all the information they need, not just part of it. In the end it will make for a better business and a happier customer.

This is just my opinion, And its not directed at any one company, product or person.

for those of you that have bought them, how much of a dent does it make in your wallet? also do you think it'd be worth the money without a high comp piston?

I met a guy at The Dunes running Mr Hp cams with a stock piston and a Lectron and it ran real good. It had stock exhaust with stock endcap. I was impressed

Sounds like HP is trying to protect the time and money he has put in his cams. I dont blame him at all. If you guys have in mind what you want Im sure you can find them through someone. You said everyone else lists their numbers didnt you? So whats the problem?
