Default racing slicks for asphalt

I've got a HP Research wheelie bar. It comes off & goes on quickly with three bolt attachment. It has hem joints @ attachments for easy adjusting. It's chromolly, 5ft long & 10lbs. I've never run it on asphalt as of yet.

hey country joe glass! next time your down around alto you oughtta ease over to lufkin. we race at pine valley raceway. i'd really like to see that 14.1 and the head work would do in the 1/8 .they require lace up ankle high boots or shoes, leather jacket, helmet and gloves. i'm just a stage 2, i'm pulling stock gear on 20's. you would probaly need a 16 tooth on front.here's the website for directions http://www.pinevalleyracing.com/index.html

BajaBomb I hope to make it back to alto for New Years weekend, will you be able to make it like last year? I need to get some slicks & leathers to make it to lufkin. My buddy's from Houston that make it to alto also race asphalt @ navasoto. You ever race there?

country joe glass yeah, I should be able to make it! no I have never raced navasoto before, it's alittle over 5 hours for me.would go if I knew of a big event or something!does the track have a website?looking forward to alto.good thing is we know where my bike was then and my bike is exactly the same now, thinking of upgrading and it would be nice to see the difference between the stage 2 and going all out compression cams and head work.

i switch back and forth. alchohol is aggrivating to run. it's good for maybe a 1 or 1 1/2 at alto where we usually race and on asphalt 1/8 mile. it will make about 2 links.
