Hi All,

Huby purchased me a Bombardier Traxter 500 last weekend. Over the weekend I put 45 miles on it and what can I say but WOW!

This baby is smooth, quick, and goes like a mother through the mud. Can't wait to ride this weekend after Floyd comes through.

I do have to agree that this thing is as difficult to corner as my Suburban - but what the heck everything else is the best.

You can't believe the glove compartment - or should I say glove trunk. This will hold a full face helmet and a 2-liter of soda at the same time.

I'd love to chat with other Traxter owners so feel free to email me.

Take Care,

Sheila

Not a Traxter owner, But I would like to chat.

I sat on a Traxter ounce, it felt WAY to wide. What do you think?

Can you feal it's weight?

Do you mean it's hard to steer or does it puh in the turns?

By the way, does your "Hubby" know that he puchased that Traxter for you?

He certainly does - he traded in my motorcycle for it. Although he is now looking at the Bomb 650 for himself.

Feels light to me - I'm 5'5" and small build. The turning I was speaking of is similiar to turning in my Suburban. Great turns just not on a dime - kinda like turn back up a little and turn.

Talk to you again soon.

Do you find it wide?
How is the power?
What other quads have you ridden?

I went to my dad's work the other day. I saw the traxter and had to ride it. I rode it and thought like you WOW! I'm usually into racing fourwheelers but this one was a freakin tank. It had the rack that extends up in the back and front which makes it look so awesome. I'm getting one next month when I can afford it :-)

Hey Shelia

I not a Traxter owner either.....yet. However, I do find that it has a lot of desirable features. And will definatly be a consideration when I "upgrade".

I do have a few questions as well:

1) How does it ride compared to other quads you have ridden (if you have) ?

2) Do you know what kind of mileage you get?

3) Any updates on reliability/nice things/not so nice things would be appreciated.

Thanks and Happy Trails

Hey Bog Hog,

I absolutely love my Bomb.

In response to your questions -

1) How does it ride compared to other quads you have ridden (if you have) ?

Have ridden Warrior, 300EX, Sportsman 400, and Mojave.

This baby is BIG! She sits really stable - not tippy at all. And she goes!

2) Do you know what kind of mileage you get?

Haven't actually checked out the mileage - she holds 5 gallons and I ride about 40 Mile trips and stays just below 3/4 Full.

3) Any updates on reliability/nice things/not so nice things would be appreciated.

The only thing that I have had a problem with was the linkage in shifting - fixed at the dealer and so far no problem.

Talk to you soon.

I've drove it and plan on buying it within a few weeks. One thing you may not like about it is the steering. The steering is very loose and you'll have to turn the bars quite a bit to turn, but it pays when you're in the deep mud. Other than that the Traxter rules.

I've ridden a 350 Banshee, 350 Warrior, Foreman 300 4x4, 300ex, 400ex, Blaster, and a crappy Polaris 500 4x4.

I'm beginning to think the Y2K bug has hit here early.

I bought a 2000 Bombardier Traxter, with winch installed, on September 15.

With less than 20 miles on the odometer, it died on September 18.

Since the 20th of September, it's been at MR Motorcycle and Marine in Asheville, NC, and still isn't running.

I'm afraid they're clueless as to the source of the problem.

I spent over $7200 on this machine, and have gotten practically no use at all out of it.

I'd appreciate any ideas you might have.

Thanks in advance,
