First of all i want to thank everyone who has tried to help me in any way at all, i also want to thank anyone for viewing my page, at least lets me know our forum stays active on all posts. Next, i finally made it home, took a day off and have been playing with the bomb. bought new plugs, checked spark, and i'm draining the tank as we speak. i will let you guys know as soon as i can about the new gas. But, i did notice that i am getting some sort of compression out of the pipe every time i try to start it, its not tryin real hard to start but i can hear it thump in sequence with the starter. so, any idea's???

Frist gas being old will almost never stop a ds from running!!!! second if your fearing a fueling problem. Remove the air filters and squirt a tad of gas in the throat of the carb with the throttle open she should start a tad this will tell you if its a fuel problem try that and let me know what happens.CAUTION if she back fires keep turning her over until your sure you didn't ignite anything on fire!!!!thats where people have back firing fires you should never let off because the engine will suck the fire in causing no harm!!!

The fuse you speak of is under the seat but if its bad you will not have any firing at all.

Default Is this my problem?

got great news, and $hitty news. my old plugs needed replacing, so i replaced them, gas was bad, and i unscrewed a screw on the bottom of my carb and gas started draining out of a little black hose that was connected to the very bottom of my carb, well after i did that my father informed me that wasnt how i should have drained it, that there is a bigger black hose with a screw in the end that you are suppose to use to drain the gas, is he right or full of crap? next, we decided to pullstart, started after a whole, real boggy at first then started, now i am smoking through the pipe, and the black hose that connects into the black tubes that come from the air box, i dont know what any of this is called. and its idleing at 3500-4500 RPM's. which is about 2-2500 rpms more than usual. so what is the deal here? is there something terribly wrong???

EDIT: 1 hour and no response? wheres everyone at?

When you had your filter off did the needle look secure in the slide? Were you playing with the needle hight for jetting recently ?

What colour is the smoke A from the pipe And B from the crank case breather hose thats the one that goes into the air intake pipe on the right ? Is it black and sooty or blue

Also have you checked your oil does it look thin or smell of gasoline or is the level high

just read more of your post at the begining of the thread.

When the bike is running how much flow is coming from the crank case breather just a bit or is it a blast?

Sorry to ask so many different things but i am thinking about a lot of different faults

I could be wrong but if it had to be pull started you have some type of compression problem ie valves, rings, piston!!!! But once again BAD GAS WILL NOT STOP !!!!! a ds from starting. Once again i could be wrong ive only owend 5 of them so you never know??????

And yes you drained the bowl properly

Oh it sounds as though you accidently turned up you idle screw too!!!
