anyone tried 15tooth with stock tires

Does it work okay in the trails ?? , i have to stick with the 15tooth for sand and every other day we will be riding a few trails that require normal tires . I dont want to have to change sprocket every day so hoped to leave stock tires on ?
any one else use this setup ? 15t with 20 x 11 x 9

15 or 14 I would be good for trails. If drag racing isn't #1 priority then go for it. What do you have to lose. You will shift sooner, and will take more input to lug the motor around. Front end will come up a tad easier as well.

I ran some numbers on the stock gearing (16T) with 20" tires and the top speed was 83.29 MPH. (Stock)
I ran the numbers using 15T and 22" tires and the difference was the top speed was only approximately 2-1/2 MPH more at 85.89 MPH.
So where is the huge advantage for swapping out the gear and back wheels to 22"???

I am thinking about going with a 22" hauler w/ 8 paddles to give me more clearance and traction in the sand, I have a stock '03 baja except for 1 tooth less on front sprocket. will this be fine you think for hill climbing?

1prokiwi,
I run 15T for stock sized tires on my stage II with headwork. Its very good for MX style racing and trails. As already mentioned, not good for long drags. I've also run the 14T, but I think thats too short for my current set up.
