JUST GOT HANDLEBARS THAT WORK!
#1
i have read alot of posts where people ask what kind of bend works for a ds and there were not alot of answers. well i bought the tusk t7 handlebars from rocky mountain. first i got the ones that they say are universal(all sport atvs). wrong. they hit the tank. a common ds problem. so i noticed they make a special bend for the raptor also in the t7 aluminum bars because of th same problem. anyway long story short i order those(at 21.99 you cant go wrong) and they work great. fit perfect and look outsanding compared to stock. not to mention lighter. i highly recomend them.

Just dont expect them to take much abuse.
If you do the research and find what the stock specs and dimensions on the ds bars are then you could compare them to the aftermarket bars measurements and buy what will actually fit.
Glad you found something you like though.

Maddog, I posted a post requesting exactly what you have mentioned. What are the specs on the stock bars????? I have not found out the actual specs, just that 400EX bars will fit, and some renthall ones.

If I had a set of the bars laying around I'd be happy to give them to you, but I do not know for sure what exactly they are. Some companies make a ds bend bar so if you use the measurements from that as a guideline you should be able to figure out which bars will work and which wont.

CHOSENONE.... i got a set of stock bars and i will take the measurements and post them . the t7 bars i got for the raptor are almost the exact same dimensions so obviously that is why they fit.

If the tusk bars are almost the same measurement then get the measurements from RMATV and use those to search for better bars that WILL fit.

MADDAOG what is it with the comments about "better bars"...... seriously at 21.99 nobody is expecting them to be ready to take 50 foot jumps. just thought i would let some people know they fit. thanks for letting us know they are not "great bars" .

The comment is just what it seems like. The tusk bars are cheap and will perform like it and I'm sure you knew that. Some people will not be content with that quality of bar and want better. My comments were directed towards helping find better bars for riders who want and need them, I dont care what you have on your bike. If you are happy with them who am I to criticize you?
