Eaglecollector, Your site looks great, I am sure it will have tons of info!

What did the whole tranny process cost you? (Disassembled, cleaned, bead blasted, magnafluxed, inspected, and back cut)

While you got the cases split to do the tranny, why not stoke it?!

Thanks Jeff that will be great. I'll get it on there as soon as I can. I'm taking a greak right now from doing the tear down so i can remove the motor and get started on the imprtant stuff

Al I knew you had something wrong. You usually walk away from me like there is no tomorrow.
Never been to the Hooters here....I didn't even know we had one. I'll have to find out where it is now. lol

The cost was 325.00 that included all that plus new c-clips and reassemble. shiping and ins.was 18 bucks I think.

Larry,

My 04 x is having the same symptoms. Did you find any metal on your screen or magnet from the gears? Thanks for the wealth of info you share in this community of web/sand heads.

Ken.

Yes I did. Expecially the first go around with this problem. But thats because i waited way to long to take care of the problem and actually busted 2 of the gears. If I would have done what DuneMe and others had said the first time this happened (backcut the gears) I prolly wouldn't be in there again. This time I still have shavings on the magnut and in the oil screen but not nearly as much.

I had the same thing done to my tranny on my DS, at first the shifting was alittle "notchy" but after some time it shifted perfect, and NEVER gave me any "surprise" missed shifts.

Well worth $325 to me also.

R&D Motorsports in Clearwater Florida does a lot of this work (they are only transmissions). Mark is the owner there.
Mr. HP is also offering the service.
Anyone else doing it?

You can also have cryogenic treatment for about $125. Brings out the austinite or magnisite or something like that. . . it's good! (so they say.)
