Default YAY! Got the new 45.

well i opened it up tonight, its got a 150main, 40 pilot, and the needle is on the second notch from the top, i'm not sure what size pump jet is in it yet, don't know too much about these flat slide carbs with the pump, btw, how do i know if the pump is activated?

if your looking at the air filter side on the right there will be a rod that reaches down in to the bowl from the actuating arm.PM me w/ your email Ill send you a pic.if you want. w/ that a big of a pilot my gess is you dont have it activated.

does that rod get pushed down as the throttle arm turns?

Default YAY! Got the new 45.

yes..the rod tip gets pushed down on a plunger in the float bowl as u apply throttle. u can tell if the tm pump is active if u see this plunger and spring are in the float bowl.

i have a 50 pump jet, is the pilot the same in the tm45 as it is the bsr42, they look similar from what i remember
sam have you got a chance to run your yet?

Default YAY! Got the new 45.

Ive runned the carb for almost a year now but the coldest was about 40 deg.Its been gone since thanksgiven , I will have it back Wed. I will be doing some riding over the holidays. hay you gots any way to haul that thing around yet? as for pilots I dont know PM THEBOMB he will know.

lol oh, well i run mine all year long, so maybe i'll try the 160 main and give it a try, and my brother and i will b building a trailer for the ds's soon as for a christmas present hes getting steel so that will be a project for the holidays,

I run all year long as well its just right now a local builder wanted to borrow it for a few to build some parts for it.
