do they run stock motors and cams or high comp pistons cams carbs etc? anyone know, what size front tires they run 23? 22 rear? 15 tooth sprocket? thanks

 

stock engine with FMF Ti pipe. The gearing is 17/38 or 39. Tires 23 front and 22 rear.

 

Bill is right on the money. The only other setup change was on the other bikes in that they ran 16/40 gears with 26' tires front and rear with 12" custom beadlocks.

 

would a 17/38 be better than a 15/40 both with 22's os do they gear it for speed?

 

They are geared more for speed as the Baja is more of a wide open race. If you want more speed and can sacrifice a little bottom end, try 1st going up one tooth on the front sprocket. It's not too expensive to do and you can test it out. If that is too tall of gearing, go back to stock and try losing a couple of teeth out back.
