Default Aftermarket Gear Ratio's help/info ??

What is a good factory replacement gearing for the DS650 baja...I have just received my new tires...23's up front and 22's out back.....Also if you could please explain the difference in the changes of teeth on front and back....

With 22's in rear I went with a 15 in front to make up the difference. It brings it almost back to stock gear ratio.

if you check out my pics page there is a calculator for sprockets on there.
Also if you want one to work out tires as well try this

take the space out of the link
It is basicly less on front is lower gearing and less on back is higher gearing and vice versa

What's confusing to me is why would I want to change both?

you wouldnt unless you wanted a smaller change the back has mre scope for adjustment if you see what i mean.


One on the back is a smaller percentage than one on the front

If you drop 1 tooth in the front that is almost the same as adding 3 teeth to the rear[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
