and it is awesome, it would make one hell of a paper weight, all shiny lol real nice piston, man those guys down there are super to talk to, next after i have my valves checked whats the best way to check them myself? one person said shine a flashlight through the ports and see if you can see light another says put a small amount of gas in the intake against the valve another says pour a small amount around the valve face which is the best or should i just have them do a valve job i think its only like 88.00 dollars here in mn if i bring him the head unless i need springs, how much are stock springs? and if i need them should i get stock ones or get others i plan on getting cams from mrhp next, how much are better springs? thanks fellas thanls again randall, oh yeah they shipped it on tuesday and i received it today talk about fast service man these guys are the ticket

on your flywheel pics #8 you have some holes started on the outer surface near the raised tab- was it like that stock or were your drilling holes thru the magnet
I use compressed air in the cylinder to check for leaks- lock the crank @TDC and connect an air line with around 100psi into a spark plug hole and listen for air leaks- intake valves /exhaust/head gasket/ rings- similar to a leak down test but without the gauges.
If your gonna dress your valves and seats, and if you plan on running high rev cams in the future than invest in some heavy duty valve springs. You'll need new valve seals in the process.
