That way will work but, I think most of the locals take Blue Diamond ( I don't recall what hwy. it turns into) over to Paharump, when you get out of town you make a left and head to Death Valley Jct., head south on 127 and I think it's about 25-30 miles down and it will be on the left, Can't miss it (famous last words). About an hour and a half trip from the South end of Vegas.

Ok, ffdhadbo.....Take this way if you aren't pulling a huge trailer. Take Blue Diamond rd...(aka) hwy 160. It's about 60-65 miles to the heart of Pahrump. At the terribles casino which will be on your right, you turn left, that is 372. Take that untill it dead ends. It will be around 35-40 miles. Where that dead ends that is, I beleive, 127. You then turn left. Dumont access will be about 30 miles on the left. I can't tell you the shorter way because I can't remember all the roads names. Check with the news or hwy patrol to make sure the blue diamond hump to Pahrump is open.....any more ?'s let me know

hwy 160 to turn off road, about 35 mins on that road you hit a town called Tecopa, about 5 miles after that, their is a turn. Right to Pahrump and Left to Baker (dumont), about 5 miles up that road until you start going down the hill and you see Dumont, Im also going this weekend, will have blue YFZ, white shee, d650 baja, trx90 and hanging with a bunch of people in a huge camp, exs, yfzs, Rs, shees etc..
