Hi,
I am thinking of buying myself a late Christmas gift. I am looking at the following: A Polaris 330 Magnum, a Kodiak 350, or a Bombadier 330 Outlander. I like the way the Outlander sits, but am wondering how it rides. If anyone out there has one, please post back. Thanks

Fonicks, I can't help you with the Bombardier, but can tell you that I just bought a new Kodiak 350 and am really happy with the decision. I went and looked at the Bomb 350 and really liked it, but the overall weight really closed the deal for me. That thing weights right at "800" lbs. And for a 350 that is alot of weight. Not trying to turn you on to anything but the Kodiak is really a great ATV.

A.............I was not going to post to this thread because I don't own an Outty but I have read lots about them.
I do know that the only way a 2X4 Outty is going to weigh 800lbs is if you add about 225lbs of..........whatever to it. The 2X4 comes in at 550lbs dry.
If a great ride is what your after, you've found your quad. Second to none in ride quality.
Tough decision, they are all great quads from what I have read.

Hi DONECRASHED,
I looked at the Kodiak and really liked it. The problem was that the handlebars were rather low. I seemed to have to lean to reach them. I am only 5'4" tall and it seemed to be far away. I liked the way the Outlander sat. (and it is cute too). I am on my second Polaris now, and have had trouble with both machines in water. I need a mud runner! LOL

I purchased a 2x4 model last January but traded 3 months later because I found that I needed 4 wheel drive to ride with my friends in Colorado. The Outlander will dust the other ATVs you are looking at. One of my friends had a 2001 Kodiak 400 and we were dead even on the straights! There was no way that he could keep up in the rough stuff with his solid rear axle. Lots of big rocks in Colorado! The Outlander is liquid cooled, has the best rear ind suspension, and is way more comfortable to ride than the Yamaha Bruin 350. Check out the article in Dirt Wheels comparing the Outlander and Bruin. Available to look at on the web at dirtwheelsmag.com. Good luck. If you buy the Outlander consider the extra few hundred for the 400. Faster than the 500 Sportsman! I have compared!

Foniks, The good doctor is right I was thinking the 4x4 which does weight right at 800 lbs. I just put the two inch lift, 26's, and a winch on my Kodiak and Im proud to say "damn that thing is wicked in the mud". Anyway if you truely want to buy a quad for mud play, buy a quad that is built for it. They just had a article in this months "Dirtwheels" on lifting and mudding quads. And the manufacturer from Gorilla basically stated that the best mudding vehicle was any of the Arctic Cats, followed closely by the Grizzly.
As for the bars I really didn't notice what you were talking about until you said something, "Damn You", now I have to go spend more money on my quads.
Good luck on your choice and let me know if I can help.
