Sounds like everyone had a great time! I'm glad to see King made improovments on his event like he said he would. Sticky buy your word is very cool.
I was at glamis earlier in the week ( monday through wednsday) and the Sand storm on Tuesday was FREAKY. Me and my brother Steve was caught out in the dunes( by China Wall) when it hit full force, and that was THE BEST TIME I will ever have in my life riding dunes!!!!!!! It was PURE Kaos! I felt like I could have been a Discovery Channel Episode called EXTREME DUNING!!!!! it was awesome!
Sorry I couldnt stay longer, I did get to meet WileyCoyote and his friends at Wash4, and even carved up some huge Bowls with them that Wedensday Afternoon.
I did see a Sparks Honda450 testing on the hill Wed morning, seemed like it ran really strong.
Hope everyone made it home OK.....

I guess I missed some of the lightened items on BigBaja 800. It looked very duneable in its current state.
When I think of lightened I think of the sparks bikes which are ti drag frames, no plastic, very small dragster front tires, etc. They look like all they are is just a motor and frame with a 80lb kid on it!
Watching the 800 with a +6 swing arm stand straight up was impressive.
Scooby turbo bike is crazy. He got a couple of bad starts, but was able to run them down.

Hey this is MrHorsepower at HARD1's place in AZ.
Big Baja's 800 took second place in the open class. On his first run he was beat by one bike length, on the second run(best two out of three) wheelied too much out of the hole was beat by about five bike lengths. The bike that beat him was running a turbo with nitrous!
HARD1's 800 was very fast with 222 riding but had clutch problems in the finals after being forced to run five times in a row even though he won two of the heats. Definately confusing race procedure but we are still happy.
Big Baja's bike was lightened but was not anywhere close to the extensive lightening done to the sparks, kens and miami raptors. Big Baja showed up with marvins all the way around but went back to the factory rear shock for the woops-which dissapeard on sunday. Its safe to say the top raptors were all under 350lbs. I saw alot of titanium and aluminum.
Our crew was actually set up VERY well for the woops and would rather have run that way. Ask anybody that was there on saturday night when 2001Raptor was piloting Big Baja's 800. No body touched him. Its all on film.
More reports when Iget home. Later.

I am shocked to hear that nobody mentioned what happened Saturday when I showed up at the hill with stock shocks and stock axle and ME riding my own bike (blown head gasket) and NO gear changes AND NO fine tuning??? No one will fess up? fuuuuny!!
IMO the event was rushed and when we came 2nd in the semi-s both times we didnt advance Is that a new rule?
I got honered "1" minute to fix a loose wire for my fuel pump Before the open runs and couldnt get the nos to run that particular run due to severe rush job. After the races were over I beat the 800 w/ lighter rider on it and he beat me once, funny how nobody mentions these things.
It was nice meeting everyone-- but bikes that should have, and got eliminated kept getting to run. Didnt seem fair and maybe some vids will shed some light.
just my 2cents.

Hey, nobody mentioned that the Patriots beat the Colts!
I watched the prelims in the morning before heading back to camp to watch the ballgame, so I missed the finals.
As Mario said, how you were able to advance was confusing at times, as Eric said, some guys had to race over and over.
I was Very impressed with Eric's 650 and the 800 were awesome too.
Wshrdskn should have everything on vid. including stuff from Sat. and early Sun.

Mario, So what happened on Saturday? Did you beat someone?
From a spectator view point on sunday, it was hard to tell who won or who placed where. The problem is they are trying to run an organized event yet at the same time keep it unofficial. I don't think the BLM will ever allow an organized event like that. If they want to keep it at glamis and have it organized, they should have it at the sand drags behind the glamis beach store. They would then have a real stagging tree. They have a real PA system so you can hear whats going on, etc. It may cost a few bucks for people to race or even watch, but it may be worth it.
