Traxter: What's the price to play?
#1
I've been considering buying a 4x4 ATV, and I've pretty well settled on a Traxter. I was wondering what kind of price you all have been able to negotiate on the Traxter XT. Comparing the MSRP for the different models, it doesn't seem like too bad a deal for the racks, the winch, and the Blackwaters. Also, if I were to buy a lower priced model, how much would I be looking at to update the machine with Blackwater tires? Thanks for the help!

agman1999,
Do you have a trade? I paid 6K for the base Traxster in farm country, for the XT they wanted 7K and had to be ordered. I just couldn't do the chrome and blackwaters on yellow. To Fancy here and besides it's only yellow until you get it home. That olive or forest green on any ATV works the best. Hides minor scratches well and it's a good re-sale color. See my post called Traxster evaluation, they have the same engine, I added the handguard and windshield and some chains just in case. Warn is doing the $49 wench but you have to pay another $100 for the extra's that go with the wench. I like the base unit but I still really like the look of the XT. I'll spread out the purchase of blackwaters between now and spring. Good luck, you are now into the 2001 Traxster models and I've seldom seen a 99 or 00 for sale in the paper since July00.
