After it almost got stolen along with my Recon just three days before Christmas, I decided it looked to flashy and nice. So, I took a can of grey primer and sprayed all of the plastics and the heat guard. Kind of a statement as to how I feel. I wanted it to look like $hit. The thieves got my Recon and had their scummy hands all over my DS. Had it pushed out to the street.
The cops still have not recovered my little Recon. They said it looks like every other quad and can not just stop people and ask for proof of ownership. But if it was recognizably different, they could stop them. So, I get ribbed by my friends and probably behind my back, but it is definitly recognizably different.

Ahh, the old "How do you like the Razr2's" question.
Well they look good!
I just haven't been able to try them out because my carb needs a new diaphram. Without it, my machine no worky. Since I got the wheels and tires I have only been able to look at it. :-( Talk about frustrating.
I can tell you it is wider than before. I was a bit dissapointed when they arrived. I didn't get what I ordered from OMF. After calling them, they have managed to convince me I got what "I needed."? I did not want the scalloped beadlockers. They first said to keep them and there would be no extra charge. Then they said they threw in the scalloped beacause he assumed thats what I wanted. I never even said any one word remotely close to scalloped. I wanted the ones that are on the website. No big deal for me though. I am pretty easy going. When it got to the money though, I realized something was not right. He told me the rings I received were $240. He just "threw them in?" I say BS. No one is going to throw in even $140. If I wanted the rings I ordered, I have to send back the ones I received and there is no price difference. Yeah right. I'll just keep what I received and be happy. They do look sharp. If I want the one's I ordered and keep the one's I got, I have to send them another $100.
I had to drill them out just a hair.
I told the guy I wanted the Razr2's and was concered about width. I wanted a rim off-set that would keep me inside stock dimensions. It's 1" wider now. But they look nice! For the first time this season I missed a race this past weekend because of the carb thing. I was scary wide before. Now it will be even more scary.

 

DSengineer: I did close to the same as mudnuri did, as far as the tires and rims. i am very pleased with the combination, the tires hook up GREAT and are a lot of fun.
