Default 8:1 turbo piston stock bore?

KGB- If I don't hear back from the HPR team in the next day or so I might just take you up on your offer. I have a spare stock piston sitting around that we could send in with what we want to see produced. Do you need CAD drawings or can we just specify stock dimensions with a concave piston top?

My buddy is a Engineer, and he will help me out alot.
I will contact him today, and let you know.
We made up some custom pistons for the 450R and I did not need any CAD drawings, he provided them to me after I gave him specs.
I will get with you as soon as I know.
Back in Nov (not when everyone was rebuilding and suppling race inventories) I was getting slugs in 2 weeks delivered.

Hey thanks for helping KGB. Its people like you who save us hundreds of dollars. I might need your help on a piston real soon. Ill pm you. I guess you know as well as others, the retail and wholesale of these products are a decent margin.

The design and engineering is complete. HPR has been working on this for awhile now. In a few weeks, a piston specifically designed for the KMS turbo system will be available. Turbo piston design is unique- you won't have to settle for a piston design that was not for your application anymore.
The relationship between Mister Hp and Kelly at KMS could get very interesting!

there's already an 8:1 available and it's low cost lightweight but still heavy duty for turbo, not NOS.

Scooby/ Is the one you talk of the JE piston or a differenct one. What makes a piston a turbo piston other than the low compression and thicker wrist pin?

222/ my motor is apart now so a couple weeks makes a difference. How long exactly do you expect yours to take.
2-4wks?3-5wks?4-6wks?4-8wks? I don't mean to be pushy but I don't want to have an engine waiting for a piston over easter weekend.

Yes the JE we talked about that would have to be made in a set of 4. Pics are in this photo album: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4289390557 I'd guess JE can be as much as 6-8 weeks this time of year, with no rush fee?

I apoligize to Mr HP and 222 for steping on toes (or offering to).
I had not read the whole post before I replied, if I was going to get a turbo piston, I would want to get it from HP Research (not me). Those guys are the greatest!
I also would not and could not get anyone elses engineering info. JE would not sell out their customers like that.
I hope that I did not come across like I could call up JE and get somebody's info and sell it cheaper.
Myself and JE would not do that.
