I wouldn't worry much about reliability of an EFI DS.
This same engine has been in the F650 BMW bike for years and they have an EFI version as well. If they offer it I would guess they would look at the BMW design.
I really doubt they will offer it. When I was running stock (which is the market they sell to) the stock carb was fine up to at least 7000'.

THe two stroke market is alive and well. There is NO law or Nothing that sayas anyone has to stop making two strokes. I am a ATV tech.Just got back from a week of factory training. The next big hot on two strokes will be in 2010.The two stroke in 2010 will have to meet standards that the 4 stroke makes now. .. YES Bambardier has a 450 twin, fuel injected two stroke they have been play with for a couple years now. They have spent a lot of hours ridding and testing it this last year and the rumor is we will see it in 2006. But we have all heard that before.. So Believe it when you see it on the show room floor. and yes they have an 800 twin to.. But look for in a utility atv.. Rumor is it will be in a new Outlander to compete with the Polaris 800 twin......
