Break In & Immediate Mods

Hey guys,
Got to take the DS out for about 1.5 hours of break in riding today (I hate breaking in new stuff) but I was amazed at how much "perkier" it ran after each cool down cycle and subsequent ride.
I'm taking it out to Dumont for a long weekend next week and was debating whether I should leave it stock so I can break it in some more or if you guys thought I'd be good with switching out the stock end cap, air filter, and main jet? I kind of want to ride it out in the sand stock then compare it to the mods but then again I don't know if I want to be tearing it apart out there. Decisions decsions......

Rich, I can't see why mods would hurt your bike, but like you I was a little hesitant about the mods before break-in. I waited until I had my bike broke in and then started with the mods. My way of thinking was that if I added a bunch of parts to make it go and sound faster than I would ride the bike that much harder.
Good luck.
Good luck.
