steering stem tube size

Default steering stem tube size

anyone know what size tube the stock stem is in diameter? and the wall thickness? thanks fellas, i am gonna order a peice of tube monday and make my stem 1 1/4 inches longer

The tube is 1.25 dia. and about .120 wall.

I ordered a stem from roll design. 40" long with 1.25 tubing and a roll design top mount for $100. It came out sweet and was $250 cheaper than ordering a new stem. Just weld your bottom to it. It is alot longer then you need but you can trim it to fit you perfect. Check out my pics. Then you have a choice of standard bars or fat bars with the benifit of the anti-vibe mounts.

Use chromoly tubing .085 thickness lighter and stronger than .120 wall steel.
