Default clutch release bearing Question ???

Are you referring to the actuator shaft with the teeth on it? If you look on the backside of your clutch cover you will see where the end of it inserts into the cover allowing it to slide back and forth without having any side to side play once it is assembled. With the clutch cover off it is going to have play.
