You camp on the beach and there is a 15 mph speed limit on the beach itself, there is no speed limit out in the dunes. we were parked at one of the first poles and set a gps and rode out to the far corner diaglonally and came up with 7.75 miles. The dunes and riding area are small compared with Glamis of any of the other California dunes.....but it is the closest for us about 4hrs. We like this time of year out there because it dosn't get to crowded......summer time can be a zoo.
