battle with the Zilla boys
#1
I have a need for knowledge. Help me if you can.
I recall that there was an old review of the DS in a mag that reported the top speed and hp of the stock DS. If I'm not mistaken the speed was 79. Can someone confirm this or correct me if it's wrong.
Also I would like to know the top (stock) speed of the QuadZilla 500, and it's weight.
someone recently asked me this info and I was unable to provide it. they were comparing the Zilla to the DS. If you have any useful info (no "I like my __________ better then the ________") please post it. I am looking for facts in all aspects ie. weight, shock travel, hp, width, length, etc.
Thanks,
Cain

The zilla was a great quad....in its time. I had a zilla or two. Tell your buds you cant compare a dinasore to the modern day heavyweight champ. The zilla is dated, no suspension and bad geometry. Sorry I don't have the specs on it

I have both, each are fun for the dunes, Zilla dose not have as much suspension, but being lower is easier to handle in the dunes, and is way lighter!!!! than a DS, the DS is a blast in the dunes, but ya have to drop a ton of cash in it to getthat motor to hummmmm, where Zilla is maybe a grand to hop it up to over 60 HP.

i have both right now and my zilla is all back to stock now and i'll tell ya, i just got the ds and im kinda disapointed in the power, it rides great and handles perfect but as for now my 18 year old machine will still kick its ***. i think they are both great, but im a diehard 2 stroke guy and still like my zilla better, things could slowly shift the other way when i get more used to the ds.
