Default Sand tires FRONT 23"

I am thinking of getting the 23" AMS Diamondtrak Fronts.

I have the 21"x 8" GBC Dune Trackers right now. I have noticed that if I am going downhill it gets VERY darty. I have came close to rolling it a few times. It seems that the fronts are digging deep very easy because the weight of the beast is on the fronts. My GBC's are 8" wide (more resistance) and at 21" they seem just ....small compared to the 22" haulers on the back. I would think going with a taller front tire and an inch narrower would help. Wow...a 23" front sand tire......

The diameter of the tire in the front should never be smaller then the back. However the rear can be smaller then the front with no ill effects. I believe you know when the front is smaller the bike is already at a nose diving position and then when you add a down hill compression you have exasperated the condition. (I'm working on my vocabulary) Anyway I believe you should at the very lease go with 22" fronts or 23" to offset the rear tire size. You should feel a significant difference in the snowplow effect..

Yes the rake of the quad is defiantley wrong this way. However....it did this with my 20" edges also. Its almost like a steering stabilizer would help alot. My front springs are set to the weakest adjustment without them falling out of thier seating area. So maybe my quad drops alot with its weight shift headed downhill. This would make sence. I dont want to adjust them stiffer, I like my cush ride. So hopefully 23" fronts will help.

have been running the buff front tires on my 760 with great floation and good steering even without a tread of any kind. the busa has a front runner with a blade down the middle and i also noticed a twich in the steering from time to time with that tire. i was able to reduce the twich be just adding a little extra tow out in the front end.

I really like the blade fronts for the obvious.....steering. But if they are causing my problem going downhill maybe I should stay away from them????? What do you think....is it the blade or the weight shifting on to too small of a front tire? Or is it the tow? It runs nice on dirt tires at all speeds and all terrain. The problem is only downhill in the sand. The front end just fights me left or right. I am riding at armagosa......VERY VERY steep.

23" you can't go wrong. Makes it easier to turn, handles better, more clearance. I love my 23" front tires.....I'm sure you'll see an improvement with them. Only bad thing I can think of is that it makes the bike sit a little taller.

Ok bringing this back up.........

I am trying to decide on NO BLADE or WITH BLADE.........

If you read this whole thread you can see that I need 23" but is the blade also a problem?
