What TAG bars are the best for the Bombardier?

 

Trailtec only has clamps for the fat bars (1 1/8" at the clamp), not the stock size or regular TAG or TAG5 bars (7/8" at the clamp).

 

Oregon, I am buying the T-5 in quad bend. I rode a DS with them and really liked them. I looked at the quad rider bend, but they seemed to high for me.

 

Arent the bars only 1 1/8 at the clamp?All of my stock acc fit.Arent stock bars 7/8?
If so, your handgaurds will work?

 

Its true, the handguards will work, but without a raise bar clamp, like the one from Alba, all aftermarket bars will hit the tank. What he needs is a raised billet bar clamp that raises the handlebar mounting base by 1 1/4" so that ANY aftermarket 7/8" bar can be used.

I was trying to say that he could go with the trailtech barclamp instead of waiting.

 

I'm not real sure on that one. I don't think that all bars are 1 1/8. I was holding a pair of each in my hands and I believe that the 7/8 are 7/8 at the clamp. Otherwise why would they make two different clamp sizes. I am not real sure though, believe I will have to check into that one.

He has bars now that are 7/8ths at the clamp. He likes his bars. If he gets the Trailtech solution, he would have to get new bars because they only provide a clamp that is 1 1/8th at the clamp, not one that has 7/8ths. Make sence? or am I confused??!!@@
