Default cam timing.

1 tooth is a little to much advancment, and you will loose bottom end power. You will not hit your piston , but you will not gain any performance either. Your exhaust cam will always be slightly more advanced than your intake cam.

Bigger.

Default cam timing.

do you use the tdc pin to do the cams or use the timing mark? you use the pin to lock the crank at tdc on the left hand side of the motor.

Default cam timing.

Yes you are correct
Use of the TDC bolt is just to hold the piston at TDC when installed correctly. And then with the cam lobes pointing away from each other use the timing marks on the cam gears and the marks on the cam chain guide to get everything into correct time.

Here is a link that should help you. Link You can get the entire site by clicking the link in my signiture
