Default 110 octane

I have a friend who races 2 strokes with the 110 octane. he said the race fuel they use is alot harder on the piston and head. He also said they have to rebuild after every race. on my 730 big bore with race everything, is it realy gonna be that harsh on the motor? or is this becouse the 2 stroke has a higher rev and they try to lean it out as much as possibal. i know they run like 8 heats per night or something like that i just plan on doing a little sand dragging nothing to serious.

Sounds like they are on the "leaner is meaner" mentality
I run 110, and when I trail ride in WV, I ride usually 60-100miles per day, and I have ran quite a few tanks through mine w/ no problems what so ever. Sounds like they may have a few problems, but it doesnt sound like money is one of them.

I agree with Justin, I've been running race gas (of different types) in two quads for nearly 3 years - no problems from that at all.
