Default head light short

I have an 03 baja that I bought yesterday. It's really awesome but it keeps blowing the fuse when I turn on the head light. I unplugged all the lights and it still does it. Anyone got any ideas where to look?

Welcome to the forum

Since you unplugged the headlight socket. Start there and trace that wire loom back. And every where that it is zipp tied to the frame inspected it very very carfully. More than likely that is where the short will be found. That wire loom is zip[ tied to the frame in several places so check them all.

If the headlight is out of the socket, and it still blows fuses, it either the switch or the wiring . You can disconnect the switch, and see if that stops it, and then ohm check the switch for shorts.
