Default 00 ds just bought

i have returned from getting the ds. here is what i have found.
#1 the gas is shot in it. there was water in the plugs and in the bottom of the carb. (tm45) i have that at the cycle shop soaking in solution to clean it up. i replaced both plugs in it today. the throttle cable is broken so instead of going with a new 1 i just opted for the vortex twist throttle set up. the fan is shot.
he had the breather on the top plugged with a bolt(i hope it didnt pop a seal) so i also ordered a breather for it. in addiction to the after market parts that were on it that i knew of it also has an open K&N carbon fiber rad scoops. extra fox shocks ron woods cdi (it has the entire ron woods stage 2 kit) as of this moment im happy with the purchase just have to see if it runs on tuesday.

Default 00 ds just bought

i just got the ds back from the shop and im kinda happy and very alarmed.
#1 the carb is straigtened out. it seems to run strong. i havnt been able to get any time on it due to it being late and having no headlight, the rain on its way. im hoping i'll be able to get some time on it tomorrow between rain drops.
however i am alarmed that i found 2 things in the oil. #1 brass shavings. #2 what appears to be a bearing from a tapered roller bearing(not round but cylindrical)
what kind of rod bearing in on the ds crank? im assuming this is part of that and not just some random piece that somehow appeared in my case.
my other question is who makes the most realiable stroker kit for the ds ? since the crank is gonna be wiped out i think, i'll just dump a stroker in her and be done.

i was just told that the ds crank uses a solid brass bearing. can anyone confirm this?
