the weight the engine has to spin, and what about degreeing the cams, the 760 really likes that mod.

i think if you end up with jeffroes 760 you should just ride it for a while. then start asking duneme jeff and the bom and azsand questions then study the exchange rate. and remember the name godfrey.

I wouldn't sweat the carbs.

If you are interested in a bike like that the head work, cylinder, crank, shocks, etc. are worth far more than the carbs would cost you to change out.

IF. . . again . . . IF you decide to go to dual FCR's you will have the carbs you have available to sell so, they you won't be into them for that much. When you look at what it takes to build an engine like this the $$$'s for a carb change out is nothing.

Ride the bike for a while like Sandman said and I doubt you'll be left wanting more for quite a while. I wish I rode at sea level all the time. There is a big power drop when we ride at Sand Mt., NV - 4500' ASL.

after having the dual 36mm mikuni's on my 760 i switched back to a 48mm mikuni really just because i liked the thumb throttle better yes it pulls alittle better than the dual's down low but overall for the riding i do i like the single better. i feel sorry for thumper i doubt he has got more than 1 hour of sleep sense he has been looking at my 760 (i think we all know that feeling) i just would like him to take it one step at a time and ride it (one trip) befor changing it to much. i think if he wanted to go racing a shot of n.o.s. would get him there, but sounds like he dune/trail rides more. take it from me "money spent bench racing is not always money well spent".
