Has anyone else had a problem with breaking your head light where it mounts? How much does a new head light cost. I have a Baja and I was wondering if it was even worth buyig another one?

Does the '03 have the new style headlamp (plastic) or the old (glass). Mine is glass, it hasnt broken, but the mirror backing inside has turned black, come off or something. Now my head lamp is about 1/2 the brightness it used to be.

my baja broke a tab off the lense when my son slow rolled it. I just JB welded it and its lasted for the last two years.

I've broken 4 headlights so far.

Three off the 00 and one on th 03.

The 03 still uses the glass one.

since the joint is hidden, I globbed it on real good and didn't worry to much about visual appearance.

A new 04 style headlight (2 bulbs in it) is plastic and very very cheap...$44 bucks! Another DS showered me with rocks and put a crack in mine. So it was a cheap fix. Now, there is an issue with putting this style in the older models. You have to order the newer bracket, cant be much more than $10. The $44 gets you the plastic light housing, bulbs, and the new single plug to dual "Y" short wire harness. To make it look right, you may want the color exterior ring (comes in like 4 colors now) and its also cheap like $6. If you have problems getting these prices try parkeryamaha.

Plus that glass light looks old now next to the newer clear lens style of the 04 and newer.
