I do not know what to do. i have bin offered a 2005 CRF450R for $4000. I could do some mod to that like exshost and cdi but i do not know if it is going to have the same climming power as a ds and also i will have to lern how to jump at the dunes with a drit bike. I could buy that or i could buy A-Arms and swing arm and get supption with some moter mods on to my ds. SO WHAT SHULD I DO. buy the CRF or Buy stuff for my DS. I would not be selling my DS, i would keap it.(I really like to Jump and go fast up hill)

 

From someone who has dislocated three different joints because of two wheels and sand.
Dirt bike+sand=not anywhere near as easy as it looks.

 

do some work to the ds, much easier to ride in sand and jump. plus if you spend all that money on the crf then you will be modding 2 machines and doing maintinence on 2 machines, it will get very expensive.

i have riddin in the sand on a dirt bike and it ant that hard

this would stop me from modding my ds so its one or the other in modding

 

ok say you mod your ds and a year or two down the road you sell it, are you getting your money out of your mods-------no. now you buy the crf and have a ds. two years down the road you sell both are you going to have more money??? yesss. lots of questions to be had, you will never be the fastest ds. and you cant jump a ds as good as a crf. so hmmm if it was me i would get the crf. why because i was there a year ago. i sold my crf450 baught a ds and a cr250, then the ds was slow. so sold the cr and put all that money into mods on my ds, im still not the fastest. and the cr was alot of fun in the trees!! and jumping.

 

Stay in school!

 

I bought a CR 500 a month ago and it's great jumping off the DS and riding that then jumping off the Cr and riding the Ds. Buy the CRF. It's great to have a choice and back up.

 

take another spelling class, and save your money until you know what you want to do.
