Thanks for the replies. I'm going to see me optometrist today for a annual checkup and I'll ask him about contacts as well.

Sounds right, something like radial keratonomy. My eye was shaped like a football so they had to make slits around the cornea to flatten it out. All they did was numb the eye and you could see the knife coming at you, geeeez, I'm already queezy. The only problem I have is at night when I'm driving, sometimes the city lights look like stars from the cuts, but that's all. Still glad I went thru it.
