Im not sure about your jetting question, but I can help you with the bleeding. First you need to remove the oil filter cover and then remove the oil filter. In the center of your case where the oil filter goes is a flat headed screw. You need a serious screwdriver, but all you do is turn that bleed screw out and then screw it back down. Put your oil filter back in and install the oil filter cover. Replace the little bit of oil that you will lose while bleeding and fire her up.

With the k&n and the stock exhaust, I would do this. You are around sea level? Use the 185 main jet. The clip should be in the third space on the needle. Start about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2turns out on the air/fuel screw....this should get you almost dead on. You can go to dynojet.com. They have full instructions on their site....

Default HELP ANYONE????

Allright, I will try the 185 sounds like that would be right... (I basicly totaled it out 2 years ago and it is just about back to the woopin some ***..)

The oil bleeding i tryed... the oil light still flashed simotaniously when it is running, and will not go away... I check the thermostate, replace oil, filter, and coolant... Isint their a sensor by the thermostate for the oil or something? I remember when I first got it in july of 01 like after 2 months the light would stay on and the dealer replaced some sensor???... (Dealers not around any more!!!)

Any more help would make the rest of my summer a whole lot FASTER!!!

Thanks Aton

Nick

Default HELP ANYONE????

I would try to replace your bulb. My '05 Ds did the exact same thing. Both the nuetral and oil light would flutter when riding and it turned out that I had two bad bulbs. All you need is a test lite to check on the bulb. Just pull your front cowling, remove the bolts from your dash and put the tester to your bulb while its running. Good luck

Default HELP ANYONE????

More input after trials...
The wire on the back of the red light are just shaddy... I touch them and it blinks and then will stay on and off and stuff... I unpluged my oil pressure sensor to see if that was what was making it stay on but nope...

Im stilll screwing with the jetting... but what i have come to see is that as soon as it runs for 30 sec's it will be running hot as all hell... coolint must be flowing( radiators hot!!!FAst!) If it is running way to hot should i jet up or down??? Im at a 180 wiht needle at #2....

Once again... ANY ANY HELP... PLEASE Help

Thank you

NICK

My Dynojet instructions say to run the DJ175 below 3000 feet, with needle on groove #2 from the top. If your 3000 - 6000 feet, you run the DJ 170.

Ok first things first.. If your ATV is running hot after 30 seconds of running. Then you have a problem! Now way it should be hot. When was the last time you changed your coolent?.. Sounds like you could have an air lock in our coolent system. You Can check it out.. Remove your cap and see if the coolent is flowing. As far as your jetting. I am at sea level. With a K&N air filter and the lid off the air box we use a 170 main jet and the needle in the middle slot....
