dial a jet on a TM carb
Has anyone tried a dial a jet on a tm 45 or 48, I'm getting ready for my next upgrade and after hearing how touchy the mikuni tm's are with temp. changes, I was wondering if the dial a jet system helped with the fine tuning. I would like to go with the lectron, heard lots of good reviews, but the mikuni's are closer to my price range, I don't know if I should wait until I have the funds for the lectron (next year) or try the mikuni??? My motor is screaming for more air flow, and I hate to hear it cry for to long, it's just killing me.

I know one guy that has tried the dial-a-jet with a TM45. His forum name is Air. You could PM him, get his opinion.
He did it because he freqnetly has altitude changes in a single ride from 5K to 12K and back again.
In my experience, I can drop one main jet size for each 1500 feet of altitude change to maintain very close spot on jetting. If I have an altitude change during the course of a single ride, its not really that big a deal that I am a jet or two rich. Most people you come across out in the world that have not been to a dyno in the firstplace, are a couple jets off anyway. It hurts a drag race, but not really that big a deal on a trail ride.
