Default Drag Times

Well tonight i went to the local drag strip to get some 'official' times. So heres my best out of about 5 or 6 runs followed by my mods.

60' - 6.105
330 - 6.178
1/8 - 9.716 @ 67.87 mph
1000 - 13.021
1/4 - 16.074 @ 71.54 mph

My mods are - 15t front sprocket, K&N, HMF Exhaust, mrhp ported match intake with razr rear tires. I'm about 5'8 140 lbs if that matters. Also I started out in 2nd gear. Are these times any good? Best i can remember when it was completely stock it ran 16.2@ 76 mph. But I believe the sprocket had a lot to do with the speed change.

I have never run my quad at a strip before (or my car for that matter..) So bone stock you did 16.2? Seems like with the 15 and mods, you would be within like 10mph of top speed right around the 1/8?
Also, how do you launch? On grass with all my mods and a 15t/20 in rear tire combo, I cant keep the front end down for the life of me (launch in 2nd) so i could only imagine what the hookup would be on ashpalt.

for some reason im the exact opposite. i cant get the front end up for the life of me other than switching from 1st to 2nd or just hammering on it in 1st and pulling back has hard as i can. But thats probably just me being little.

I was launching in 2nd gear so it didnt spin much. I actually killed it once which was kinda embarassing and led to a 19 sec run haha. But I was thinking that the mod did do quite a bit of good considering i went down .2 sec and also lost 5 mph due to the 15t sprocket. So my acceleration was alot better and im guessing my 1/8 was too.

18" tires 1/8 9.588@67.77
21" tires 1/8 9.449@68.23

what bore is your DS? what ET did you get in the quarter with a 95 mph run?

I would also be interested to know what gearing you use to reach that kind of speed in 1/4.

Did you only run it @ 3/4 because you were testing somthing? I dont think I could ever keep out of the throttle unless someone paid me...lol

Have you dyno'd your setup? I wouldnt mind knowing what a turbo setup runs WOT on the 1/4 with appropriate gearing and tires.
