electric supercharger on a ds??

Are you talking about the little blower motors they sell on ebay? If so, be afraid. I would think the engine could overspeed the fan and cause it to come apart. Also, I dont think it could provide enough positive pressure to make power. You would be better off calling it an air introducer maybe, but not a boost providing accessory.

they can move a large ammount of air, but they will not create boost. the elcetronic supercharger (garbage)isnot able to compress air beyond atmospheric pressure. save your money there a joke.

There was a company like ten years ago that claimed they had an electric booster fan and were written up in Sand Sports but faded away. They used really high quality RC plane motors.
I think it would would be possible to get about 2 or three lbs of boost but not with anything like I've seen on eBay.

but the main site works...very interesting... electric motors can put out crap loads of torque, I jsut dont like the idea of a new alternator and batteries... wonder how many normal size batts it takes?

Here's another thought, The motor from a cordless skillsaw can handle alot of wattage, you could also tie in an extra battery or battery pack. Now you just need a compressor of some sort, the inlet side of a turbo or a smog pump possibly. That's some fairly cheap stuff worth a try. Don't forget to pressure balance the float bowl and you may need an electric fuel pump off a streetbike.
