Jeffroe,

I guess I forgot to answer your question. Im still going to run the 22" 12 paddle tripple buffs with a 17/43 combo. Gearing will have to be played with this summer. The motor mods will come next fall, I just cant justify spending any more time building, and NO time riding. Ill call you today.

Bigger,
mystereid and jeffroe are right, everything must be plugged in. You can take the kick stand switch off, but splice it together. But, there is a tip over senser that MUST be hooked up. I had the same problem of it not firing. I tried to bypass that sensor, bad idea. It will stop the spark. The air mass senser, Im just strapping it right to one of the air filters. Good luck with the project, it never ends does it. LOL

mystereid,

The tranny on the 750 is surprisingly massive. I have no idea how it will hold up. Time will tell. I think your right about the larger tires though. The 750 is way down on torque, and probably will not spin that aggressive of a paddle like the larger displacement engines. What I did like about the motor is this. It redlines at 14 grand, where as the larger motors fall a little bit short of that. Im not sure what gearing to run yet, but the stock bike tires were 28", and we are running 22".

Who knows,
10 more hours of fab, and its done. We are just going to clear coat the bare metal fab work weve done. Ill get it dressed up next fall.

Congrats on getting your bike running it should be a beast.

I have the 04 model cbr1000RR motor in my Ds you should check things down the list. First thing I would get is the shop manual (Got mine on ebay for like 30 bucks).
1. Fuel pump should turn on when you turn the key on
2. I have all of the handlbars and all off of the bike because the kill switch needs to be in the run position
3. There is another wiring harness that plugs into the guages that feeds from there to your Bank angle sensor. You need to make sure this sensor is mounted right because the bike will do nothing.
4. Check fuses

I think all the DSXR's and DSCBR's should make the trip out to glamis next January for 4 stroke wars. Jeffroe's idea. Could be interesting.

Dstroyer, that would be a great idea.

Biggerisbetter, I will send pics as soon as I am completely finished. I have got it where I can ride it and do long smokey burnouts and all of the plastic is mounted except for the piece where the gas tank used to be. I am in the middle of building a custom airbox for it (because it has 8 injectors and the stock one is too bulky).
I will give you some dyno numbers as soon as I have time to strap it to my chassis dyno.
