The gixxer project is alive and breathing. The gsxr750 sounds great. That 4 into 1 exhaust sure does have a distinctive sound. After many, many, many hours of fab work, its finally coming to a close. All I need to do is make some foot peg mounts, a gusset or two for seat support, and we are off and running. I will put some photos up by the weekend. 120 hp on tap, redline at 14,000 in an instant, and 100% reliability to boot.

If anyone from here is going to be at the Monkey butt drag event in Janesville, Wi this coming weekend, I will have it there.

Gary

Hey Roost,
Here is the site for the event. Hopefully this is ok to post.

Jeffroe,

Im not sure what tire combo to run for dirt. As it sits right now, Im still running a plus 8 from last year. My best guess, it will need to be a plus 4 with a wheelie bar and 180 psi marvin shaw shock on 22" holeshots. As you know, the tracks here in Wi. suck. There is a track up in Burroak that is all sand. Ive never been there. I do have plans to make it there this spring some time. I heard your going to take the busa down to Erics dyno soon. If your interested, I would pick up half the trip, and take my 750 along. We will need to get a power commander to dial them in. We should talk.

ARRRRGGGGG! I am having some "issues" with my wiring and cant get the 954 to FIRE I need to ask some questions to somebody who knows these crotch rocket engine, and thier ECU systems. I am told the ECM/ECU will not send the fire to the plugs cause I dont have the MAP sensor, and the air temp sensor plugged in. Is this true, or is the ECM/ECU bad???? I also do not have jiuce to the Fuel -pump( which is provided from the ECM/ECU). I too close!!!! to have this happen

Sorry for rambling, but your success( congrats BTW!!) just set me off.....

yeh it would be nice to shair notes.

1. what size rear sprocket will you run? (60 tooth rear on mine will still smoke 22" realtors on black top)
2. how will you stop that thing at monkey butt? the shut down area is short!!
3. tell me more about this sand track

kyle the efi system likes having everything hooked up!! i just finished the motor on my monte and tried to short cut the mass air flow sensor and found out the hard way how just having one thing unhooked will screw up the whole deal. efi can suck during install but do it right and benifits will follow!!

I sure hope plugging these sensors in does the trick.... hearing the motor spin with no Fire or Gas is PAINFUL to hear

Kyle, do you have the kickstand kill switch hooked up or bypassed? I'd sure think all the fuel management stuff should be hooked up as well.
DStroyer, I'm not too up on smaller superbike motors but I would think that you might want more tire spin than the 1000+ cc bikes. I'm sure your clutch and internal parts aren't as stout and might get damaged by dropping the clutch on a pair of aggressive paddled 25" tires. The CBR1000 in my pics runs 25" 18 paddle taller haulers but has a very beefy engine. One thing to remember is you are putting more shock load on these engines than they were designed for. A bike tire has a very small contact patch.
