Barnett 9-disc tough shifting
#1
I rode a DS over the weekend that I am considering buying. It has a Barnett 9-disc clutch that exhibits some notchy shifting. It is more noticeable when you first start out but once it warms up a little it's not as bad. I know others have talked about this. Is there a fix or is this just how all the Barnett clutch setups seem to work?

I just replaced my barnett with a new barnett, no problems shifting. I'm not real mechanical but it seems to me that once the clutch is pulled in its out of the loop for shifting, meaning I dont know what the clutch has to do with the quality of shift.

yeah what he said ... i have fouind that if its hard to find neutral and is hard shiftin. try turning your clutch cable in on the handlebars .. i go in half a turn increments. turn it a half turn and ride it for a while to see how it acts. it no progress turn another half turn in.
