Default paddal/rim?

I had my hubs shaved and redrilled so i could also run an 8 inch rim. My ? is running an 8 inch rim i should be able to run alot bigger paddal. By going with those rims and a 6 rib paddal am i losing speed, gaining more power or what. I have a set of the sandsharks on the stock rim so what is realy the difference. Is anyone else running with a 6 ribbed paddal?

I think that MrHp was running 6 paddles up the hill at FSW. See if you can find any of those pictures to make sure.

the smaller the diameter of the wheel, the faster the rev, but the lower the top speed. on that smaller rim, you should be able to get away with 6 paddles, but the nature of the beast is that it is heavy. i ran geckos for awhile, and all i did was get stuck everywhere i went.

Yes im getting the same setup as mrhp. he is doing my 730 bigbore build. I told him i wanted everything he had on his bike. so with my titanium valves its gonna rev quicker anyway so i might need to check into some different sprocket combos. any help would be apreciated.
