help with adjusting my vavles

Default help with adjusting my vavles

i have a 04 ds650 baja x and last year i tought my rings went out but they dint, i replaced them and put a new battery in and it still wont start ive been reading about that i had to adjust the valves but is there a site were i can print out some information on tighting tthem up or anything would help thanks

There is alot of work going into adjusting the valves. if you are not mechanicaly inclined i would not suggest attempting that. It will cost you about 175 for a valve adjustment.

If your mechanically inclined the valve adjustment is easy.

Besides, do it yourself so you know it is done right.

Just got off the phone with a buddy that is re-doing his dealer's valve adjustment job!

Also check out faq.f650.com it is the same engine.

Check out the picture of the TDC mark on the crank in my picture page. Helps to look at this.
