MRDS650,

Your stator is rated at 290W. I was told after all the standard electrical stuff is deducted you still have about 240W to use. Add up the wattage on your additions and see where you sit.

heres a stupid question. does the conversion offer more light? or a better unit? my stock light leaks like crazy & is filled with dust and no way to clean it out. so i added the large HID lights for night riding but still use the stock light for dusk riding.

What kind of bulbs goes in the new headlight. I have a pair of really nice Piaa H4 bulbs that I want to use. They draw 55watts each so i should be ok !!!

Alright I looked up the prices for the parts to do this conversion. And without any of the hardware and excluding shipping im well over $100 from www.RobsPerformance.com. Is there a better place to get these parts?

well it may seem easy for you to find these lights!! here in quebec i went to the stealer and they couldn't even find the part number in their computer!(ok ,there aint very smart..) but anyway they hooked me up with a suzuki light that looked the most like mine, and they blew up after half of a ride. i tried every auto part store (napa, canadian tire, autopro, carquest) and they dont have these kind of lights. it sucks! but anyway here'S not the point of my thread..

my friend and i did a drag race on a rocky way and he spanked me out and shooted a rock in the right corner of my headlight. since then i've put a really sticky kind of tape and there aint no water in it, but my lights keeps on burnin' each ride. must i mention that i ride in temperature under -10 celsius. could it just be the heat and cold difference that makes the light burning?

thanks.

There is a connection under the tank that is part of the headlight wiring. When mine blew i found
out it was coming apart.I dont know if that has anything to do with it but its worth a shot.
Good luck.

I did not see the link to the parts page in your webshots. Do you know the part # on the little push tabs that hold the pins in place ??

The Part number for the push nuts are 732610072 You will need two. These will hold the headlight trim in place.
